The minds behind Tears Of Sirens are Fabio Properzi (first voice, piano, guitar, bass, programming) and Giulia Riboli (theremin, synthesizers, choirs), two Italian musicians with a strong attitude to experimentation and with important musical backgrounds.
Fabio Properzi (ex Ameba4, Kubriq, Kinky Atoms) is a singer, polistrumentist, artistic-producer, arranger and song writer.
He has collaborated with some of the most important Italian and International artists like Corrado Rustici (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Elisa, and many others), Giuliano Sangiorgi, Ermal Meta, and author for the Italian record label Sugar Music.
Inspired by the atmospheres of Nigel Godrich's music, Properzi's artistic production looks firmly at the future.
Giulia Riboli is the finalist of "Theremin Star" competition and inserted among the International performers on the Russian website ThereminTimes (run by Leon Theremin's great-grandson).
In 2017 one of his theremin melodic lines was recorded for Ermal Meta's platinum record "Vietato Morire".
She has been selected by the NY Theremin Society, with 20 other international artists, for the cd-compilation "Theremin 100", with the song "Under the Milky Way", signed Tears Of Sirens.
In 2020 the Italian state TV RAI shot a special on Giulia Riboli and the theremin, in the "TG1 People" state news.
After their first self-produced instrumental EP "The Abyss" (January, 2015) and their first full length album “Hum” (released in June, 2017 by Magnatune Records - California), both albums have caught the attention of several Italian magazines and webzines (Rockerilla, Mescalina, Rumore Magazine, Son of Marketing, I Think Magazine, Shiver...) and have been acclaimed by critics for their refinement.
Besides performing in numerous concerts, the duo also set to music in real time the film "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" for the “Sound of Science 2017” in Bergamo and for the “Sonic Scene - International Music Film Fest 2017" in Trani.
In 2018 they created the soundtrack of the Italian short film "Giulia una storia qualunque" directed by Vincenzo Ardito.
“Flow” is their third album, released in November 2019 by the Italian label T.a. Rock Records, considered among the best international albums of 2019 by Trip Hop Nation, AiM Alternative Music 2000, I Think Magazine, Radio Elettrica, Radio Futura New Generation.
